Grundy County is located in Middle Tennessee, on the South Cumberland Plateau, and is home to South Cumberland State Park. Altamont is the county seat of Grundy County; other cities include Beersheba Springs, Coalmont, Gruetli-Laager, Monteagle, Palmer, Pelham, and Tracy City. Grundy County has a population of 14,332 and covers 361 square miles.
